Tonight, Chief Executive, Jack Stopforth will appear on Radio Merseyside’s business slot at 5.30 pm. He’ll be discussing negative reporting of Capital of Culture & the city in the media following Robin Archer’s departure, national recognition of Liverpool as a place to do business illustrated by the conferences now being held in the city and the impressions created, new investments and the business opportunities arising from Open Golf Tournament.

Today the Chamber is hosting one of its quarterly Construction & Development lunches at the city centre Marriot Hotel. These regular events are designed to encourage networking within the north-west construction industry. Today’s speaker is Graham Pink the project director of the Liverpool Land Development Company who are spearheading the re-development of the Edge Lane corridor, which involves £100m of works over a three year period.

The Chamber also hosted a meeting of the Environmental business Club. Today’s topic was waste awareness for the construction industry, with a speaker from Envirowise.

Mersey Ferries New Landing Stage

Mersey Ferry passengers should remember that the new landing stage facilities, moored just north of of the Isle of Mann passenger bridge, is now fully operational.
