Priorities for Local Authority Regulators

The BCC this morning attended a breakfast briefing with Peter Rogers Chief Executive of Westminster Council and head of the Rogers Review. As part of the Hampton Review process the government is seeking to establish five priorities for local authority regulators. In identifying five priorities there is no expectation that inspection or enforcement will cease in other areas the priority status refers to the information requirements on local authorities.
The review team have narrowed down the list of possible 24 enforcement areas which are now being considered nationally by Chambers including Liverpool.
