The British Chambers of Commerce has engaged the professional polling company, Populus, to help us build a Voice of Business Panel. The purpose of the panel is to aggregate and amplify the insights of businesses up and down the country in a way that will force the media and decision makers to sit up and take notice of your opinions. The information we gather will also help to shape the BCC’s priorities and to serve our members better.

This introductory survey will take no more than ten minutes of your time to complete. Your individual answers will remain completely anonymous and the general information we ask about your business will be held in confidence by Populus. It will simply be used to breakdown responses by size of enterprise, sector and locality.

Our ultimate aim is to consult the panel every couple of months and on specific occasions where business matters dominate the news, for instance in the aftermath of the Budget. The Voice of Business Panel will not replace existing BCC surveys such as Quarterly Economic Survey but is rather designed to establish a regular barometer of business opinion that reflects more fully the views of those who provide the bulk of the wealth-creating and employment opportunities in their localities.
