Here’s a chance to get your company some free publicity in the business section of a national newspaper.

Jeff Randall of The Daily Telegraph is on the lookout for businesses to contact him. He is investigating ‘Real Business In Brown’s Britain.’

The aim is to cut through official hype and discover what it’s like trying to make a living as an entrepreneur after 10 years of Labour in power.

He said: “I will be sifting through views on issues such as start-up incentives, tax, health and safety rules, European directives, employment law, skills and recruitment.

This is an opportunity for you not just to right some wrongs, but also to provide positive feedback. If you think the Government or any of its business agencies are doing a good job, then let me know. The series begins on September 19, so there’s still plenty of time to send in your accounts of enterprise in action.”

If you are running a company with fewer than 100 employees, please email your story to: realbusiness@telegraph.co.uk

Google Tips

Google. We all use it and we all love it. How would we get by without the all-conquering search engine? But are you getting the most out of what it can do, and is it getting a bit too much out of you?

Well, here are a couple of quick links to help you tame the Google Beast.

First, here’s an excellent cheat sheet of tips to help you fine tune your searches. It covers basic search tips, specialised queries and finding text in specific areas of a site.

And if you’re worried about Google’s habit of storing information on you and everything you search for (business info, political searches, financial sites and the rest), then give Googlonymous a try. This searches Google for you, basically, so it’s Googlonymous’ data that is recorded, not yours. It’s not paranoia if they really are out to get you!

Friday Fun - Triple Header!

We’ve not posted any Friday Funs for a while, so here’s a glut of gubbins to keep you out of the sun on your lunch break.

Pandaf Golf

First up is Pandaf Golf. It’s a Japanese golf game that starts off deceptively easy but by level 10 will have you wanting to punch out your monitor. You control the direction and strength of your shot by positioning your mouse in the ball’s ‘aura’.

Google Flight Sim
To calm you down after that, why not take the Google Maps Flight Sim for a spin? You control a cute little biplane as it flies over imagery taken from the, like, totally awesome Google Maps. When you get bored, you can make it crash too.

And after all that, sit back and watch an amazing video of a battle between buffalo, lions and a crocodile. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry etc…
