The BBC is looking for Liverpool companies to speak to about training and working with young people in the city. Journalist, Gavin Stamp will be in the city on 19 November to prepare a series of articles that will be published on the BBC website in the New Year.

Trident Training, the training arm of Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, offers a wide selection of services and training to meet the needs of employers in Greater Merseyside. We work closely with Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and other key organisations in the city to keep abreast of current developments in training and potential skill shortages within Merseyside.

We can offer help with recruitment and apprenticeships.

Apprenticeships are a cost effective way to up skill your work force. If you have employees between the ages of 16-18, they may be eligible to study for an apprenticeship free of charge. This will lead to recognised qualifications which are flexible and tailored to suit your needs. Trident has excellent E-learning resources meaning that the majority of the training is completed on your premises.

If you’re looking at recruiting staff, Trident Training offers a free recruitment service to employers looking to recruit apprentices to administrative positions.

This is a reliable and low risk recruitment method, taking away the hassle that recruiting new staff can bring. All you need to do is send a copy of the job description to the Workforce Development Team and they will send you a selection of CVs of suitable candidates, aged 16-18 years.

All interview arrangements are made by the team, you just tell us who, where and when.

Trident provide continued advice and support for the duration of the candidate’s training programme, ensuring that the candidate is progressing well and that the training is meeting your needs.
