Koala bear1-11 March 2008

This market visit is designed to enable exporters to explore opportunities in Australia in all sectors. The itinerary is designed so delegates may choose to alter the official itinerary.

Australia is an affluent society with strong links to the UK, making it a more significant market for UK exports than its comparatively small population of 20 million might suggest.

Australia is the UK’s third largest market for goods in the Asia-Pacific region and the third largest for services and is the UK’s 5th largest market for goods outside the EU. Identified target sectors for the market include:

  • aerospace
  • biotechnology
  • food & drink
  • creative industries
  • IT
  • electronics
  • education & training
  • consumer goods

Liverpool Chamber has a wealth of experience in organising trade delegations to Australia and has led twenty such events. We have additional contacts in the Chamber of Commerce network and other organisations in order to assist with contacts and information for participating companies.

Liverpool Chamber of Commerce Market Visit benefits include:

  • UK Trade & Investment grant of £750
  • Experienced International Trade Executives providing pre-mission assistance on both a country and sector basis
  • Assistance with contact building and market research
  • Support of a experienced Market Visit Manager throughout the visit
  • Pre-visit briefing and in market briefing from local British Consulate Staff in Sydney
