Friday Fun - Kebab Tetris

kebab.jpgSo the holidays are definitely over - we’ve all had our first full week back in work. Deep joy!

So, here’s a little game to pass the time on your designated break and brighten your Friday.

I’m not sure what it’s really called, as the site’s not in English, but let’s call it Kebab Tetris for now.

Your first test is to get the game going, as the instructions are in a foreign tongue. I’m not going to tell you how to do that, but it’s an easy challenge.

Once you’re in, you have to skewer the little characters using your kebab stick (contrlolled by clicking and holding your mouse). Once you have three or more of the same next to each other on the stick, they disappear. You have to keep going for as long as you can without overloading your stick.

Sounds rubbish, but is fiendishly addictive.

Play Kebab Tetris here.

Cardinal Heenan pupils are looking for business leaders to help them get the careers of their dreams.

As a specialist sports college Cardinal Heenan High School has been instrumental in extending sports provision for pupils in the local area. This has resulted in the development of leadership courses and, more recently, the Shape programme, which help the pupils develop self confidence, the ability to run groups and also lead sports programmes.

Cardinal Heenan has already formed strong links with Everton F.C. and would like the opportunity to develop their business links even further.

The pupils have set the agenda for an industry day which will be held at the school. They have detailed the career paths which they would like to explore and their dream is that this event will inspire and motivate the pupils towards the future, extending horizons and multiplying the possibilities for development.

To help them prepare for this event, they are asking you great leaders of business and industry to come to a business breakfast on Monday 4th February at the Speke Marriott Liverpool. At the meeting they will be outlining the aims and objectives for the Industry Day and asking local businesses to help pupils realise their true potential.

If you feel that you can help the pupils at Cardinal Heenan on their industry day, just call Brendan Kelly-Ince  at Cardinal Heenan High School on 0151 228 3472 to book your place at the Business Breakfast.
