As a batsman he was great, as a bowler, merely superb! Sir Garry Sobers was remarkably versatile with the ball, bowling two styles of spin. His catching close to the wicket may have been equalled but never surpassed! Birkenhead School are honoured to have a rare opportunity to introduce such an illustrious guest.

Come and meet a “true gentleman of the game”On Saturday, 7th June, Birkenhead School hosts a Fund Raising Dinner, where Sir Garry Sobers, eminent cricketer and true gentleman of the game, will address the audience.
