Leadership Foundation Programme

This programme is very intense and delivers powerful leadership changes to individuals within the organisation who require a stepped increase in positive leadership outcomes.

Although this is the foundation level of the Academy’s management development programme, the term ‘foundation’ should not be confused with ‘basic’.

The Liverpool Chamber of Commerce is working in partnership with Holistic Academy to deliver this three day programme is designed for aspiring and new leaders, as well as those leaders who wish to take their skills to another level.

The programme is very intense and delivers powerful changes to individuals within the organisation who require a stepped increase in positive leadership outcomes.

Content:
By the end of the programme, you will be able to…

  • Prioritise the 12 roles of an effective leader
  • Run productive and efficient meetings
  • Effectively motivate staff
  • Influence others more effectively in a wide variety of situations
  • Describe 4 distinct leadership styles
  • Understand how to determine the appropriate development level of a person against a given task
  • Practise the use of 3 factors when being assertive
  • Construct a delegation plan
  • Use 3 ways to minimise the likelihood of conflict within your teams
  • Describe 9 factors that help or hinder teamwork

The course takes place from 3rd - 5th June and costs £700 + VAT

Latest news & events from the European Capital of Culture 2008:

  • Liverpool is appearing at the Chelsea Flower Show for the first time in more than 40 years next week. Actress Sue Johnston will open the city’s exhibit - entitled Mr Roscoe’s Garden - at 1.15pm on Monday, May 19 (press day).
  • As part of their Chelsea coverage the BBC have created a short film about William Roscoe and Liverpool’s Botanical Collection, which will be shown on BBC2 between 8pm and 9pm on Wednesday, May 21.
  • The first of 14 cruise ships to arrive in Liverpool this year will be sailing up the Mersey  this  week. The Astro a German, 20,000 tonne luxury vessel arrives on Tuesday, May 20 with almost 600 passengers ready to explore the European Capital of Culture.
  • Ben Johnson’s  specially commissioned Liverpool Cityscape 2008 and his World Panorama Series goes on display at The Walker from 24 May to 2 November.
  • The cream of international street theatre arrives in town with world class entertainers from across the UK, Argentina, France, Japan and Spain. Get set for a weekend of magical entertainment for all the family from Saturday evening to Bank Holiday Monday (May 24-26).
  • Playhouse Disney Live! comes to Echo Arena Liverpool on 24 and 25 May.
  • Roger McGough’s special adaptation of Molière’s 17th century French comedy Tartuffe at the Playhouse is earning rave reviews, including a very rare 10 out of 10 from the Liverpool ECHO. It runs until May 31.  Bookings 0151 709 4776
