If your company under-performed, even mildly, would you slip on a dunce’s hat and walk around crowded Liverpool City Centre streets, handing out letters explaining why you were being punished? And a luminous orange dunce’s hat. With leopard-skin, ear-warming flaps.

And would you submit yourself to a public flogging for the next “slight underperformance” with your service? With custard pies - 44 of them videoed and seen by over 10,000 people on YouTube?

You may not. But what would you think of a company who did? Would you think they were a bunch of clowns or people that really care? And would it be a step too far, if it was videoed and published on your web-site for every customer to see.
