woodlands_hospiceAre you up for a challenge? Would you like to beat the credit crunch and have a fun night out for just £8 and help YOUR local hospice in the Bargain?

Then why not sign up for Woodlands Hospice Starlight Walk on Saturday 25th April 2009. We promise a great night out and for your £8 you will receive a T-shirt, medal, breakfast roll and drink on completion.

To coincide with the opening of our new state-of-the art 15-bed en-suite inpatient facility the walk will focus its start and finish around the new building to help raise the awareness of the unit. This is a unique chance to support the valuable work of the Hospice in this our special year whilst walking under the stars and enjoying a leisurely chat with friends.

There is a choice of a 3 mile route to Aintree Racecourse and return or 6 mile route to Old Roan and return. Why not get together with a group of colleagues, friends, family or neighbours, have a fun time and help YOUR local hospice.

Carole Riley, Fundraising and Communications Manager at Woodlands Hospice said: “At midnight on Saturday 25th April we are hoping that hundreds of people in the local community will come out in force to support our Starlight Walk which is being sponsored by Newsprinters Knowsley Limited. Since the opening of our day hospice in 1996 we have always dreamt of being able to operate an inpatient as well as a day hospice facility. This year will see the opening of the new facility to provide 24 hour care to local people. To patients and their families this will mean we are now able to provide seamless care between the day hospice and the inpatient unit with friendly faces they have come to know and trust.”

If you would like to take part in this historic event please contact Woodlands Hospice fundraising department on 0151 529 2630/2640 for a registration form NOW!
