Free Marketing and Presentation Techniques Seminar

On 30 March at 9.00 am to 12noon this the final chance for companies to take advantage of this opportunity to take advantage of the free workshop on Marketing & Presentation Techniques.

Offering an invaluable opportunity to give their communications strategy ‘The Marketing MOT’, the course offers a hands-on practical refresher for established businesses and is also useful as a first time session covering a number of topics designed to show small businesess how to raise the game in personal presentations.

Kevin Griffiths Head of Commercial Services at Liverpool Chamber working with Stepclever says ” The half day course offers to give companies the edge when pitching for work or seeking new clients. It can be hard for small businesses to grab attention and increase their market share. It is important that they get their message across in one 2 one meetings, panel or tender situations and this seminar is aimed at showing them how.”

This support and training has enabled small businesses across North Liverpool to better position themselves to win tenders in both the public and private sectors.

Free Drop In Events To Help You Get More Business

Over the last 12 months Stepclever has delivered a wide range of FREE services to help local businesses in north Liverpool connect with new income streams and maximise their potential, whether it be through expanding into new markets, learning the ins and outs of supplying to the public sector or simply learning how to hone your existing business skills.

Kevin Griffiths, Head of Commercial Services working with Stepclever said: “These drop in events are designed to improve a company’s chances of winning contracts in both the public and private sectors. The drop in events will include ‘how to use’ workshops on the Stepclever bespoke online tendering toolkit, identifying new markets through the Stepclever alert service (tender alert) –the help companies get ahead of the game in securing new business.

Kevin Griffiths continued “The unique inter-trading platform is helping businesses in the Stepclever area to trade with each other. There will also be a presentation on the importance of understanding external supply chains that could reduce your operating costs and open up new markets.”

There are two morning and two afternoon sessions at 9.00am to 10.30am, 10.30am to 12noon and 1.00pm  to 2.30pm and 2.30pm to  5.00pm.

Successful Tender Management

This workshop focuses on understanding PQQs and the pre-preparation required to assist in successful completion. How to identify which are the best tender opportunities for your business and how to submit successful bids and tenders.

8 March
Understanding Business Finance
Understanding the finances business is key to success. Valuable advice for sole trader, a partner or director it is beneficial to understand the finances of your business.

This programme introduces the documentation and its analysis and also looks at the key business ratios that affect that information and what external people see when they look at financials.

19 March
Effective Credit Control

Effective credit control - getting paid promptly and in full is a vital addition to a business toolkit. This workshop will highlight how late payments affect finances, how effective a company is at recovering debt and what action to take to improve debt collection processes and techniques.

These workshops will be held at Anfield Sports and Community Centre,Lower Breck Road, Liverpool L6 0AG. It will be held from 9.00am to 4.00pm and include refreshments, lunch and course notes.

 Marketing & Presentation Techniques

The seminar will look at how to sell effectively and communicate creatively the positive attributes of a business and product, outlining the best techniques for overcoming objections and closing deals.

 Sales Techniques & Negotiations

Due to high demand, Stepclever is hosting a further free half day course to help companies in North Liverpool and South Sefton take advantage of business opportunities by offering expert advice on sales techniques and negotiation. This half day course will take place on Wednesday 11 November 2009 and will show businesses how to refresh their sales and negotiation techniques and relate them to today’s marketplace.

The course will also aim to help both consumer and business-to- business focused companies learn techniques that will help to analyse and improve their approach in preparation and execution of sales.

If you would like to work for yourself in the creative industries and are searching for affordable incubator space, or if you run an existing creative enterprise and are looking to relocate to a dynamic creative hub in the heart of the Liverpool city region then this event is for you.
