Corporate philanthropy is the act of private sector organisations donating time, finances or resources, in a strategic, sustainable fashion to not-for-profit and charitable organisations.

Corporate philanthropy is a growing movement in the UK having been well-established in the United States for some time; philanthropy as a concept in evolving and in a corporate sense can dramatically increase the impact your company can have on its bottom-line, stakeholder engagement and employee retention, recruitment and morale.

The Community Foundation for Merseyside is part of the national Community Foundation Network which is the fastest growing philanthropic movement in UK. The Community Foundation works in partnership with SME to blue chip companies on achieving their philanthropic giving and corporate social responsibility objectives in communities.

In partnership with Hill Dickinson, the Community Foundation is bringing together for the first time a number of leading and emerging corporate philanthropists based in Merseyside to share learning and best practice in this field at a half-day seminar.

We would like to invite you to join us for the Community Foundation’s first corporate philanthropy seminar to hear from some leading figures in corporate philanthropy, share best practice and network with other business professionals working in this field.

In addition, there will be presentations on the current social and economic need in Merseyside’s voluntary and community sector and how organisations are working strategically to place their company at the heart of long-term social change locally, nationally and internationally.
